Abstract

In the modern digital era, contemporary social media platforms excel at global connectivity but often fail to provide immediate, actionable value during hyper-local emergencies or for nicheinterest community engagement. Linksy proposes a novel dual-purpose architecture that bridges this critical gap by integrating a robust social discovery framework with a highly responsive "Lifeline" emergency module. Utilizing a Serverless Architecture powered by React and Firebase, Linksy ensures high availability, real-time data synchronization, and rapid scalability. The platform implements the Haversine formula on the client side for instantaneous geographical filtering, allowing emergency alerts to instantly notify users within a dynamic radius. This paper details the system architecture, mathematical models for geolocation, database schemas, and the integration of modern web technologies to achieve sub-second latency in emergency broadcasting. Furthermore, we discuss future scopes including AI-driven fake alert detection using advanced NLP models and IoT wearable integration for automated medical crisis reporting.
