Home automation has emerged as one of the most practical applications of the Internet of Things (IoT), providing convenience, energy efficiency, and enhanced security in modern living environments. This paper focuses on the design and development of a home automation system using an Arduino microcontroller that integrates various sensors, actuators, and wireless communication technologies. The system enables users to monitor and control household appliances remotely via smartphone or web interfaces. The main objective is to create a cost-effective, flexible, and scalable solution that can be adapted to different home environments with minimal configuration. The proposed system demonstrates how microcontrollers like Arduino, combined with Wi-Fi modules and embedded software, can provide an efficient means to automate routine tasks such as lighting control, temperature regulation, and appliance scheduling. The implementation showcases low power consumption, affordability, and ease of integration, making it suitable for both residential and commercial applications.
