Abstract

The Assignment Submission Portal is a web-based system designed to simplify and automate the process of creating, submitting, managing, and evaluating academic assignments. In traditional assignment management, students often submit assignments through physical copies, email, messaging applications, or different online platforms, which can lead to problems such as misplaced files, missed deadlines, and difficulties in tracking submissions. The proposed portal provides a centralized platform where students, faculty, and administrators can manage the complete assignment workflow. Faculty members can create assignments by specifying the title, description, subject, deadline, instructions, and required submission format. Students can view available assignments, upload their completed files, and submit them before the specified deadline. The system maintains submission details such as student name, assignment, submission date, file, status, marks, and feedback in a centralized database. Faculty members can access submitted assignments, download files, evaluate student work, provide marks and feedback, and track pending or completed submissions. The system can also notify students about newly created assignments, approaching deadlines, submission status, and evaluation results. An administrator can manage users, subjects, courses, assignments, and system activities. The portal can include authentication and role-based access control to ensure that students and faculty members can access only the features relevant to their roles.
