Author Guidelines

The International Journal of LAW, Arts and Humanities (IJLAH) welcomes high-quality, original, and unpublished manuscripts from scholars, researchers, practitioners, and students worldwide. To ensure a smooth submission and review process, authors are requested to follow these guidelines carefully.

 

1. Types of Contributions

IJLAH publishes the following categories of manuscripts:

  • Research Articles – Original studies presenting significant findings.
  • Review Papers – Comprehensive surveys and critical evaluations of existing literature.
  • Case Studies – Real-world applications, practices, or analyses.
  • Short Communications – Brief reports of new findings.
  • Book Reviews & Essays – Analytical reviews or opinion pieces on relevant topics.

 

2. Manuscript Preparation

General Format

  • File Format: Manuscripts must be submitted in MS Word (.doc/.docx)
  • Language: All submissions must be in clear and concise English.
  • Length:
    • Research/Review Papers: 5,000–8,000 words
    • Case Studies/Essays: 3,000–5,000 words
    • Short Communications: 1,500–3,000 words
  • Font & Spacing: Times New Roman, 12 pt, 1.5 line spacing, justified alignment.
  • Margins: 1 inch (2.54 cm) on all sides.

 

Manuscript Structure

  1. Title Page
    • Title of the manuscript (concise, informative, in bold)
    • Full names of all authors, their affiliations, and email addresses
    • Corresponding author clearly indicated
  2. Abstract
    • Maximum 250 words
    • Structured to include background, objectives, methodology, results, and conclusion
    • Include 3–6 keywords
  3. Main Text (Suggested Structure for Research Articles)
    • Introduction – Context, significance, and objectives
    • Literature Review – Relevant existing studies
    • Methodology – Materials, data collection, and analysis methods
    • Results and Discussion – Findings with interpretation
    • Conclusion and Future Scope – Summary and possible implications
  4. References
    • Follow the APA 7th Edition citation style (or IEEE style if required by law-related submissions).
    • Ensure all in-text citations are included in the reference list.
  5. Figures & Tables
    • Must be numbered sequentially (e.g., Figure 1, Table 1).
    • Provide descriptive captions.
    • Images should be of high quality (minimum 300 dpi).

 

3. Submission Process

  • Manuscripts should be submitted via the official journal submission system/email (to be specified by the journal).
  • Each submission must include:
    • Manuscript file
    • Cover letter (stating originality and no simultaneous submission)
    • Author declaration of conflict of interest (if any)

 

4. Peer Review Policy

  • All submissions undergo a double-blind peer-review
  • Reviewers evaluate originality, relevance, clarity, methodology, and contribution to the field.
  • The editorial board makes the final decision on acceptance, revision, or rejection.

 

5. Ethical Considerations

  • Submissions must comply with the Publication Ethics & Policies of IJLAH.
  • Plagiarism in any form is strictly prohibited.
  • Authors must disclose any conflicts of interest and acknowledge funding sources.

 

6. Copyright & Licensing

  • Authors retain copyright of their work.
  • Articles are published under an open-access Creative Commons license to ensure free global accessibility.

 

7. Article Processing Charges (APC)

  • IJLAH may levy a modest publication fee to cover editorial and production costs (details will be provided on the official website).
  • Waivers or discounts may be available for authors from developing regions.
