The International Journal of LAW, Arts and Humanities (IJLAH) is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and ensuring the integrity of scholarly work. The journal strictly adheres to the ethical guidelines established by international bodies such as the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and expects all authors, reviewers, and editors to maintain honesty, transparency, and fairness throughout the publication process.
- Responsibilities of Authors
- Originality and Plagiarism: Authors must ensure that their submissions are original works and free from plagiarism. Any form of data fabrication, falsification, or misrepresentation is strictly prohibited.
- Authorship: Only those who have made significant contributions to the research should be listed as authors. All contributors must be properly acknowledged.
- Citations and References: Authors must properly cite all sources used and avoid excessive self-citation or inappropriate references.
- Conflict of Interest: Any potential conflicts of interest must be disclosed at the time of submission.
- Multiple Submissions: Manuscripts must not be submitted simultaneously to more than one journal.
- Responsibilities of Reviewers
- Confidentiality: All manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents.
- Objectivity: Reviews should be conducted objectively and without personal bias.
- Timeliness: Reviewers are expected to complete their reviews within the agreed timeframe.
- Conflict of Interest: Reviewers must decline to review if there is a conflict of interest with the author(s) or the research.
- Responsibilities of Editors
- Fairness and Integrity: Editors must evaluate submissions solely on academic merit, without discrimination based on gender, ethnicity, religion, or political views.
- Confidentiality: Editors must not disclose any information about submitted manuscripts to anyone except the corresponding author, reviewers, or editorial board members.
- Decision-making: Editors are responsible for making publication decisions based on the validity, originality, and relevance of the manuscript.
- Conflict of Interest: Editors should avoid handling manuscripts in which they have a conflict of interest.
- Ethical Considerations in Research
- Authors must ensure that their research complies with ethical standards, including respect for intellectual property rights, informed consent (where applicable), and proper acknowledgment of data sources.
- For studies involving human or cultural subjects, adherence to international ethical guidelines is mandatory.
- Plagiarism Policy
- All manuscripts are screened for plagiarism using advanced detection tools.
- Submissions with plagiarism above the acceptable threshold will be rejected immediately.
- Cases of plagiarism, duplication, or academic misconduct will be reported to the author’s institution and may result in blacklisting from future submissions.
- Retraction and Correction Policy
- The journal reserves the right to retract published articles in cases of proven academic misconduct, plagiarism, or unethical research.
- Corrections or clarifications may be issued in cases of minor errors that do not undermine the overall integrity of the article.
