The rapid proliferation of smartphones and internet connectivity has fundamentally transformed the landscape of marketing, giving rise to mobile marketing and app-based promotional strategies as dominant channels for consumer engagement. This paper examines the rise of mobile marketing and app promotion, analysing adoption trends, consumer behaviour, effectiveness metrics, and strategic frameworks adopted by businesses across sectors. Drawing on primary data collected from 150 respondents and secondary data from industry reports published between 2019 and 2024, this study investigates how mobile applications have become pivotal touchpoints in the consumer journey—from awareness through purchase to post-sale loyalty. Findings reveal that personalised push notifications, in-app advertising, and social media integration are the most effective mobile promotional tools, while data privacy concerns, ad fatigue, and device fragmentation remain critical barriers. The study concludes that organisations that integrate mobile marketing with data analytics, AI-driven personalisation, and omnichannel consistency achieve measurably superior customer acquisition and retention outcomes. Actionable recommendations are proposed for marketers navigating the mobile-first digital economy.
