This study examines the role of digital libraries in enhancing research productivity and improving information accessibility among faculty members, research scholars, and postgraduate students in higher educational institutions of Assam. The study was conducted across five highly populated districts of Assam, namely Kamrup Metropolitan, Nagaon, Cachar, Dibrugarh, and Sonitpur. A quantitative research approach was adopted, and data were collected using a structured questionnaire. Out of 200 distributed questionnaires, 198 valid responses were obtained and analyzed. Statistical techniques including descriptive statistics, Chi-square test, Independent Sample t-test, One-way ANOVA, Correlation Analysis, Multiple Regression Analysis, Factor Analysis, and Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) were employed. The findings reveal that digital library usage significantly enhances research productivity and information accessibility. Furthermore, technological infrastructure and user competency were found to positively influence the effectiveness of digital libraries. The study provides valuable insights for policymakers and higher educational institutions in strengthening digital library services for academic excellence.
