This study examines the intersection of Person-Environment (P-E) Fit theory and role conflict among female medical professionals in Bengaluru. As India’s healthcare hub, Bengaluru presents a unique "urban paradox": while offering unparalleled professional opportunities, its infrastructure—characterized by extreme traffic congestion and high living costs—exacerbates the friction between clinical demands and traditional domestic expectations. Utilizing secondary data from labour statistics, health reports, and existing sociological literature, this paper analyses how environmental misfits contribute to chronic stress. The findings suggest that the "double burden" of professional excellence and gendered societal roles leads to significant role-identity conflict. The study concludes that systemic urban interventions and organizational flexibility are essential to sustaining the female healthcare workforce.
