Abstract

Solar power systems are increasingly adopted to meet growing energy demands and reduce dependence on fossil fuels. However, the efficiency of photovoltaic systems is highly influenced by environmental conditions such as irradiance and temperature. Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) techniques play a vital role in extracting maximum available power from solar panels. This paper presents a detailed study on the performance enhancement of solar power systems using advanced MPPT techniques. Various MPPT algorithms are analyzed with respect to efficiency, tracking speed, and stability. A control-oriented framework is proposed to improve system performance under dynamic conditions. Experimental evaluations demonstrate improved power extraction and reduced losses. The results confirm that effective MPPT control significantly enhances system efficiency. The study supports the deployment of intelligent solar energy systems for sustainable power generation.
