Abstract

The rapid growth of the Internet of Things (IoT) has resulted in large-scale generation, transmission, and storage of sensitive data across distributed environments. While IoT enables intelligent applications in smart cities, healthcare, and industrial automation, it also introduces critical challenges related to data security, privacy, integrity, and trust. Conventional centralized security mechanisms suffer from single points of failure and limited scalability. Blockchain technology, with its decentralized, immutable, and transparent nature, has emerged as a promising solution for securing IoT data. This paper presents a blockchain-integrated IoT architecture for secure data management. The proposed framework combines IoT devices, edge computing, and blockchain-based distributed ledgers to ensure secure data storage, access control, and traceability. Analytical discussion highlights how the integration improves data integrity, trust, and resilience against cyber threats in large-scale IoT systems.
