Lean manufacturing has emerged as an effective approach for improving productivity, quality, and efficiency in discrete production systems. Increasing competition and customer demand require manufacturers to minimize waste while maximizing value creation. This paper presents the implementation and performance evaluation of lean manufacturing techniques in discrete manufacturing environments. Key lean tools such as value stream mapping, 5S, Kaizen, and just-in-time production are systematically applied to a selected production system. Performance indicators including productivity, cycle time, work-in-process inventory, and defect rate are analyzed before and after implementation. The results demonstrate significant improvements in operational efficiency and resource utilization. The study confirms that lean manufacturing provides a structured methodology for continuous improvement. The findings support the adoption of lean practices in discrete production systems to achieve sustainable manufacturing performance.
